RACE INFORMATION

Date: September 11, 2022

Location: Lake Pflugerville, east of Pflugerville, Texas

Description: This is a triathlon event, offering sprint- and olympic-distance options for all levels of experience. You can compete individually in the 3-sport event, or for those who do not enjoy running, you can do the AquaBike, which is the swim first and finishing with the bike portion.

The event also offers opportunities for 2-person or 3-person relay teams to compete in the event as well.

Packet Pick-Up Schedule

Very happy to have the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Pflugerville and Pflugerville Conference Center (16100 Impact Way, Pflugerville, TX 78660) as our packet pickup site for the 2022 America's Tri (if you are looking for hotel rooms for race weekend, call them!)
Pickup times are Friday, 9/9 4pm-8pm and Saturday, 9/10 9am-5pm.

There will be no race day packet pick-up, except for PRE-APPROVED out-of-town athletes that have talked to one of the race directors.

Athlete Responsibility
Athletes, it is your responsibility to know the race course and rules. Volunteers and Race Officials are there to assist. Please see USAT's site regarding most common violated regulations, which WILL be enforced in our triathlon events as well.

Transition Area
NOTE: ONLY athletes are allowed in the transition area. The one exception to this is designated handler(s) for any paratriathlete participants. Athletes are not allowed back into transition until the all-clear is given, so as to not impede those still racing. Athletes may NOT remove their bikes and equipment prior to the last cyclist returning and transition has been re-opened. Any violation will result in a DQ.

Body Marking
As a COVID precaution, we will no longer be body marking athletes. Athletes may self-mark their race numbers if they choose to do so, but it is not required.

Athletes: Per race rules, you will NOT be allowed to take your bike out of the transition area until the last cyclist is off the bike course, and it has been announced that transition is open. Doing so will result in disqualification AND could result in suspension from participation. You MUST exit transition with your bike at the point designated by the race management team.

On-Course Nutrition
Water, ice and an electrolyte drink will be available to athletes during the run portion of the race at two, and dependent upon the weather possibly three, aid stations. Also dependent upon the weather, there may be an aid station on the bike course. Water, ice, bananas, oranges and chips will be available to athletes at the finish.

Spectators are encouraged to bring bottles of water, coolers, snacks, etc. to make your experience at the America's Tri more enjoyable.
Note: No canopies or umbrellas are allowed on the beach until all athletes have exited the swim area.

Please follow instructions given by the volunteers. There may be times where certain areas are off limits. For example, athletes will finish the race near the swim exit, so you will be asked to clear the area along the paved running trail once all athletes are out of the water.

A successful race depends on the efforts of many volunteers. If you aren't participating in our race, please consider volunteering.
